Melissa Newman’s primary focus is the employee. Ms. Newman is an attorney in the firm’s civil litigation division where she advocates for civil rights and human rights for employees in courts throughout Los Angeles County. Ms. Newman practices in all areas of employment law including equal pay, harassment, gender, age and disability discrimination.
Ms. Newman is admitted to the California Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Ms. Newman received her Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law (now Dale E. Fowler School of Law) as a full merit scholar, where she worked on the Executive Board of the Chapman Law Review. Prior to law school Ms. Newman earned a B.A. in Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Ms. Newman has volunteered in disability rights and restraining order work. During her free time she also enjoys hiking and music.
